Winter 2015-16 Hottest Trends

Written by

Hi folks, we see many of you looking for some winter wardrobe inspiration! So, this week, we thought to give you an up-to-the-minute report on winter 2015-16 trends. Observing the global and domestic fashion shows, we have prepared an exciting hot-ticket guide.

#1: Monochrome

The divine mix of black and white has never experienced stylessness, but the winters of 2015-16 will soar the pair to next level. Be it Saint Laurent, Valentino or striking designs of our very own Bonanza or Gul Ahmed, this fall you will see the perennial duo of black and white patterns and needlework. However pastel colors with a tinge of bold or neon hues will also be seen flaunting some extra sizzling look.

#2: Quilted Jackets

Do you literally feel the chill down your spine? Looking for something lightweight yet warm? Here’s the solution to keep the shudders gone! The toasty padded and quilted jackets, (the ‘Ali Xeeshan [in LUX Style Awards] way’) will be trending this winter.

#3: Embroidered Sleeves

Since our torsos will be hidden under those thickset cardigans and shawls, no embroideries or swanky necklines would be visible. To counter this matter, the designers have a wonderful solution for you. They have spiced up the sleeves with some voguish fun! You can either make fluffy or furry sleeves otherwise get some embroidery done over the sleeves. This fall/winter we will definitely give it a try.

#4: Fringes

A tony way of an ode to 80s, while still managing to stay in the contemporary period is the usage of furs and fringes which is popular this winter as well. They pep up the beauty of a dress, sweater, wrap or even the hood of jackets. We are glad that they are still in vogue.

#5: Flare Pants

Flares are flying! Personally I am so glad that the skinny jeans have taken a back seat this season. Be it your office pants, party denims or gym trousers; give them an outward and broad flare. Keeping in mind the different cuts and styles, you can have it cropped to above the ankles, wear the stylish culottes, or fans like us can wear it floor-length as well, everything will look equally classy unless it is tastefully flowy.

#6: Velvet

Are your friends/cousins getting married and you are afraid of the icy cold weather before deciding any modish outfit? There will be no hurdles between you and your hot outfit! Finally we have a winter in which we would not only look chic but also be protected from the chilly weather. Giving you perfect fit, velvet also springs up a luxurious look. Thanks for making comeback, dear velvet!

Our Final Verdict:

Fashion repeats itself! Sometimes it reoccurs like it was never even gone away and the same will be the story of 2015-2016 fall/winter. However the winter will be the tale of multiple influences, so the good news is in order to maintain your individuality you can experience anything that you think will look classy on you !
